Training and Talks

SWACA delivers Domestic Violence Training making the links with Safeguarding Children and protecting Vulnerable Adults.

Domestic Violence Awareness Training

Domestic abuse is an extremely complex issue, which makes it difficult to understand the issues survivors face.  Our awareness training defines domestic violence, the different forms of abuse and explores other issues such as why women stay in abusive relationships, giving a greater understanding of the issue.

Courses can be created to meet specific agency need.

Safeguarding Children Training

Safeguarding Children and Child Protection, whilst being an important issue, can also prove to be an extremely complex one for us to understand.   We can find ourselves doing nothing for fear of getting it wrong or making it worse.  As a result, some children may feel let down by our response.

Basic Awareness training is designed to equip staff to respond to children in need of our support in an appropriate and professional way.

Costs for a Full Day's Training is £500.

Staff are available to visit local groups and talk about our work and the issues surrounding Domestic Abuse.  A minimum donation of £75, towards costs, would be very much appreciated.
